Continental Micronesia Implements No-Smoking Policy on All Flights
Continental Micronesia today announced that it will be completely smoke free by October 1, 1997. Currently, the airline operates one flight, CO907/908 Honolulu-Tokyo-Honolulu, as a smoking flight. After October 1, all Continental Micronesia flights will be non-smoking.

"Non-smoking environments are becoming more accepted by societies throughout the world," says Curt Bourg, Senior Vice President Sales/Service for Continental Micronesia. "The Japanese market plays a significant role in our business and we are confident the traveling public will support the decision."

Continental Airlines to Start New Honolulu to Houston Flight
Continental Airlines and Continental Micronesia today announced a new direct service from Guam to Houston with one stop in Honolulu, effective August 1.

Daily departure schedules from Guam to Honolulu and West Coast destinations will be adjusted with the implementation of this new route. Honolulu flight number CO 2 will leave Guam at 8:45 AM, stopover in Honolulu at 8:00 PM and connect through to Houston arriving at 9:50 AM.

The return flight CO 1 from Houston will depart at 12:10 PM, stopover in Honolulu at 5:10 PM and connect through to Guam arriving at 8:40 PM.

The new schedule allows local travelers to reach the West Coast at an earlier and faster time than the competition. Plus, travelers will be able to reach Continental's primary hub in Houston with significantly less elapsed time than the current schedule and with easy connections to several other Continental destinations.

Continental Micronesia Expands Service to Manila
Continental Micronesia will initiate major expansions in its Manila route to meet the great demand from local travelers this summer.

Starting August 1, Continental Micronesia will begin double-daily Guam to Manila service. Currently, the airline operates eleven flights a week from Guam to Manila. The new schedule will be more convenient for both business and leisure travelers to Manila with daily morning and afternoon flights.

"Continental Micronesia recognizes the need to provide more convenient and extensive service into our popular destinations like Manila," says Walter Dias, Staff Vice President, Sales and Promotions for Continental Micronesia. "We will continue to strive to better serve our customers."

The Manila route will be serviced with a Boeing 727 aircraft which seats 153 passengers.
